Zambezi National Park is located in Western Zimbabwe. The park is located upstream of Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River.

Zambezi National Park was split from Victoria Falls National Park in 1979. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including the BIG-5 safari animals (Elephant, Lion, leopard, Buffalo, and Rhinoceros) as well as more than 400 different bird species.

When To Visit

Zambezi National Park can be visited at any time of the year. Being neighbours with Victoria Falls, many visitors prefer to combine the 2 destinations on a single trip.

On its own, Zambezi National Park is best visited in the dry season months of April through October. This is the time when many animals gather near water sources.

Getting There

Getting to Zambezi National Park is pretty easy. If you fly directly to Victoria Falls (the town), you will just take a short drive and reach Zambezi National Park. Several regular flights go directly to Victoria Falls each day.

If you are already on a trip to Zambia, it is also easy to drive from Zambia to Zimbabwe and explore the game park.

There are many options for your stay in and around Zambezi National Park with great luxury properties. The proximity to Victoria Falls allows you to stay in town if you so prefer.
