Victoria Falls National Park is located in the Northwestern part of Zimbabwe. The park protects the Southern and the eastern bank of the Zambezi River and its world-renowned Victoria Falls.

The main attraction of Victoria Falls National Park is the wondrous Victoria Falls for which it is named. A notable surprise of Victoria Falls National Park is the rainforest that grows in the spray of the massive falls. The forest has a wide variety of plants like vines, ferns, and palms among others.

When To Visit

You can visit Victoria Falls National Park at any time of the year. The best time for you to witness the powerful Victoria Falls is between April and June when the water levels peak. The spray and mist resulting from the falls can be seen from quite far away.

From September to November, the water is at its lowest levels and much of the water is concentrated on a few points of the entire cliff face.

Getting There

Getting to Victoria Falls National Park is a straightforward process. 

If you are outside of Zimbabwe, you can easily fly directly to Victoria Falls (the Town) with the scheduled flights from South Africa. This is a sweet option for those who are visiting both South Africa and Zimbabwe.

You can also fly directly to Zimbabwe via the main International Airport in Harare and then head to Victoria Falls. The drive from Harare to Victoria Falls is quite long (9 hours) but local flights can save you time and you would reach it within 1 hour.
