Zambezi National Park is located in Western Zimbabwe. The park is located upstream of Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river.

Zambezi National Park was split from Victoria Falls National Park in 1979. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including the BIG-5 (Elephant, Lion, leopard, Buffalo, and Rhinocerous) as well as more than 400 different bird species.

On it own, Zambezi National Park is best visisted in the dry season months of April through October. This is the time when many animals gather near water sources.

Getting There

Getting to Zambezi National Park is pretty easy. If you fly directly to Victoria Falls (the town), you will just take a short drive and reach Zambezi National Park. There are several regular flights that go directly to Victoria Falls each day.

If you are already on a trip in Zambia, it is also easy to drive from Zambia to Zimbabwe and explore the game park.
