Nairobi National Park is located about 10 kilometers south of Kenya's Capital City - Nairobi. Despite the small size, Nairobi National Park is known for the big numbers and variety of wildlife as well as being one of the best rhino sanctuaries in Kenya.

As the first national park established in Kenya, Nairobi National park's history and present is a symbol of Kenya's stand on protecting the natural ecosystems.

When To Visit

Nairobi National Park can be visited all year round but the best time for wildlife would be between January and March when it is hot and dry, and animals gather by the water.

The months of April to June are hot and wet while July till October is warm and wet. The wet season is always good for bird watching as well as wildlife and nature photography.

Getting There

Nairobi National Park is probably one of the easiest parks to access in all of Africa. The park is located 10 kilometres from the city and can be accessed by using a car, a local taxi, a motorcycle, a bicycle or even a long walk if one is so inclined.
