Namib-Naukluft National Park is located in western Namibia. The park is located between the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and the edge of the Great Escarpment.

The main feature of the Namib-Naukluft National Park is the Namib Desert, the Naukluft mountain range as well as the lagoon at Sandwich harbour. The best know area of the park is Sossusvlei - a clay pan that is surrounded by sand dunes.

The harsh desert doesn't support many large animals but the spectacular scenery is what attracts people - and is completely worth it.
