The best time to visit Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is during the winter months (May to September) when the weather is dry and sunny. The average temperature during this time is around 20°C (68°F) during the day and can drop to below freezing at night.

The summer months (November to March) can be hot and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 40°C (104°F) during the day. The park receives very little rain, with an average of only 200mm (7.9 inches) per year.
